IAC Acoustics, a division of Sound Seal, based out of North Aurora, IL, is an industry leader specializing in sound control products for industrial and architectural markets. Learn more about us at www.iacacoustics.com.

We are seeking a high energy, dependable HR professional. This position, reporting directly to the Division President and working closely with the HR Manager, will be the sole HR representative onsite for a facility with 50 + employees. Seeking an individual with strong experience in areas of: recruiting, employee relations, performance management, federal and state compliance and benefits.

Responsibilities

Communicates and consults on all areas of human resources including compensation, benefits, staffing, organizational development, employee relations, and performance management.
Establishes strategies with business leaders to select and retain the diverse talent required to maintain a competitive advantage and to align with recruiting strategies
Resolves conflict and provides coaching and counseling on human resources matters for functional and organizational leadership
Promotes and manages local implementation of corporate driven HR programs and initiatives
Prepares and files required federal / state compliance reports
Acts as a liaison between management and employees
Prepares offer letters, process post offer screening and new hire orientation
Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records and documentation
Responsible for filing workers compensation claims
Assist with payroll functions

Qualifications

5 or more years of HR Generalist experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment
High School Diploma/GED required; bachelor's degree preferred
Strategic thinker and a hands-on-leader capable of linking strategy to day-to-day priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication
Experience in providing training classes, training one on one and speaking to large groups
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism and diplomacy
Functional knowledge of Federal and State employment laws and statutes
Experience with ADP Workforce Now a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Bilingual in Spanish is mandatory
This position must pass a post-offer background check
